What we collect,
what we don't, and why

Burgundy is a web design and development studio operated by Pranay Jain, based in Bangalore, India. References to "we," "us," "our," and "the studio" mean Burgundy. References to "you" mean visitors to burgundy.studio and prospective or active clients.

We collect three categories of information.

Information you give us.

• Name, email, company, and project details when you book a call, submit the audit form, or contact us directly
• Any documents, URLs, or briefs you share during a project conversation

Information collected automatically.

• IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on each page (via standard analytics)
• Cookies set by burgundy.studio and a small number of approved third-party services (see /cookie-policy)

Information we do not collect.

• Payment card details (handled by payment processors)
• Social media tracking pixels (we do not run retargeting ads)
• Behavioural profiles for advertising

We use the information for four purposes:

1. To reply. Responding to enquiries, scheduling calls, sending briefs and proposals.
2. To deliver work. Running active projects, communicating with clients, sending invoices.
3. To improve the site. Understanding which pages are read, where visitors leave, and what needs to be better.
4. To meet legal obligations. Tax, accounting, and compliance with applicable Indian and international laws.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not enrich it with third-party datasets.

We share limited information with these third parties, only as needed:

• Hosting. Webflow hosts burgundy.studio.
• Email. Google Workspace handles hello@burgundy.studio.
• Analytics. Google Analytics 4 measures site usage.
• Booking. Our calendar tool (Calendly or equivalent) handles call scheduling.
• Form submissions. Webflow Forms collects audit and brief submissions.
• Payment. Razorpay, Stripe, or bank transfer for invoicing.

Each third party processes information under its own privacy policy.

We use a small number of cookies. Details on the Cookie Policy page.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, India's DPDP Act, the CCPA, or other privacy laws.

In general, you can:

• Ask us what we have about you
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Ask us to stop using it for marketing
• Withdraw consent for cookies

To exercise any of these, email hello@burgundy.studio. with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We respond within 30 days.

• Enquiries that don't convert: deleted within 12 months of last contact.
• Active client information: retained for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
• Analytics data: anonymized and retained at the platform default (Google Analytics typically 14 months).

We use reasonable measures to protect what we collect. Encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure email, password discipline. No internet system is fully secure. If something happens, we'll tell you within 72 hours of becoming aware.

Burgundy does not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email hello@burgundy.studio and we'll remove it.

We update this page when something changes. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when. We don't email everyone for minor edits, but for material changes (new data uses, new third parties handling your data), we'll surface a notice on the site.
